Santo Antonio and Santo Agostinho Daycare Center, located in the Nogueira neighborhood of Petrópolis, cares for 110 local needy children from three to six years of age. It subsists on donations from the community and the city government.

The children stay at the center from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Just as in normal school, they are divided into three levels. In the morning they participate in activities that encourage them to learn and give them a head start in their later schooling. They also can watch videos and play on the playground, containing a full range of recreational equipment. The food is under the charge of a nutritionist, with menus suitable for each age range and the individual needs of the children.

They receive breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack. The center also has pediatricians, a dentist and psychologist. Special attention goes to orientation on personal hygiene, such a teeth brushing, allowing
its young charges to learn proper personal care from an early age. Full baths are offered once a week.
