It offers special assistance and rehabilitation for people with special needs, such as physical, mental, hearing and speech disabilities. Each month it serves roughly 900 patients; its psycho-pedagogical workshops help 140 adolescents; and its Essential Stimulation Program serves 280 children from 0 to 4 years of age.

The institution counts on 190 professionals, along with volunteers and interns, in the areas of physiotherapy, psychology, social service, speech therapy, music therapy, hydrotherapy and occupational therapy.
